Obesity is on the rise globally. No questions about it.

Do we understand enough about it? Probably not.

In this article, the author takes us through the stigma and associated psychological problems obese individuals face in the society and the possible solutions to it. Surprisingly the finger is pointing towards doctors and we (as in the medical fraternity) need to take the views of this section of society seriously.

Metabolism plays an important role of how we handle food. This scientific piece takes us through the intricacies of a ‘metabolic chamber’ (an instrument used to accurately measure metabolism) and how it can help prevent obesity from rising.

Sadly enough the research needs to filter through the capitalistic society wherein the triggers (long working hours, cheap junk food, expensive whole foods, corn fructose saturated drinks, stress, etc..) for increasing obesity are working 24×7.
