I was a stranger to writing. A few lines on napkins and the blog during moments of inspiration, alongwith journal entries, were all that I would manage till I decided to write my book. The process of writing and editing the drafts had a rather therapeutic effect. I was no longer hesitant to write.

Much has been spoken and written about the benefits of writing, but most of us are limited to messages and emails. In this blogpost, I present you with good articles, and book summaries on 'Why you should write!"

Start with journal entries (start with a gratitude journal), Twitter posts, and musings about life and gradually increase the word count. Don't be hesitant to share your work (content saved on your hard drive is of no use to anyone).

  1. David Perrell on "Why You Should Write"

  2. The Paris Review article on how writing helps you think better.

  3. How to write simply by Paul Graham (check his blog for some amazing articles)

  4. Book summaries

5. Lessons learnt from Steve Jobs in writing a good email

If any of you are thinking of writing a book and want some pointers please feel free to reach out to me.
