Oh, the memories of the 1982 Asiad Games are etched in my mind!

I was just a young kid in Bangalore back then, and the buzz around colour TVs during the games was something out of a sci-fi story. This article takes me on a delightful journey back to those cherished days

In Bangalore, every street had a TV (if lucky), and we kids from my neighbourhood would gather around the only TV on our street to watch the games. Hockey was still a big deal, with cricket not far behind.

The article takes us on a journey from our hockey-loving past to the cricket-crazy present. It's an interesting shift which happened with our loss to Pakistan in 1982 Asiad (hockey) and lifting the cricket World Cup in 1983, and I think you'll enjoy reading about it. Wishing history repeats after 40 years in this World Cup.
